Kendra Higgins, PA-C, MEd.

Kendra Higgins, a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA), has followed a unique and fulfilling path in her professional journey. Initially earning a Master's degree in Education, Kendra's passion for teaching led her to become an elementary school teacher. However, her life took an unexpected turn when her father fell seriously ill with brain cancer.  After walking through a painful and difficult journey with him, she fell in love with caring for others through medicine.  This profound experience ignited a desire to help others with a high degree of knowledge but an equal if not more amount of empathy.

Driven by her desire to make a direct impact on patients' lives, Kendra made the bold decision to transition into medicine, specifically becoming a physician assistant.  She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA at the top of her class.  Embracing the challenges of the medical world, she found herself excelling in orthopedic surgery.  Kendra spent an impressive 13 years working alongside skilled surgeons, assisting in complex procedures, and providing unwavering support to patients.

However, Kendra's adventurous spirit and curiosity pushed her to explore new avenues within medicine. For the past 5 years, she has specialized in dermatology, a field that has captivated her heart. Her deep understanding of the skin's complexities and her expertise in surgical procedures and cosmetic dermatology have allowed her to make a profound difference in her patients' lives. Kendra's compassionate approach, coupled with her extensive medical knowledge, has earned her a reputation as a sought-after dermatology provider.

In addition to working full-time, she is an adjunct professor at Marshall B. Ketchum University for the Physician Assistant students and is a preceptor for them during their rotations.  Kendra is a wife and mother to three amazing children that keep her especially busy with their sports and daily activities.  In her free time, she loves to better the community by teaching fitness classes, going hiking or the beach with her kids or spending time on her "mini" farm with donkeys, horses and alpacas.
